Anniversary is an affair that everybody celebrates each year in commemoration of a significant occasion such as wedding ceremonies and death. Taken from the Latin word ANNIVERSARIUS from year and to turn, it means turning each year. It was introduced in the English society during the year 1230. Anniversary can either be celebrated to commemorate wedding days (wedding anniversary) the the death of a close friend or kin (death anniversary) and the most common is your birthday (birthdays).Birthdays are the most common anniversary which we commemorate one’s birth event annually. But only these, anniversaries is also celebrated to commemorate historical events (happy or sad), a notable event of someone’s career or even the most silliest event such as the first day you ever said no to a blind date or the day you shamed yourself in a gathering of admirers.
